OLECTRONICA

An art unit consisting of Ryo Kato and Jumpei Kodama, based in Taketa City, Oita Prefecture, they began working on the themes of production and life in 2011. They have sought to fill in the gaps between the many changes of the times without being bound by any particular method of expression. Their representative works include Wood Figure and The Approach to the Landscape among others. In 2019, they developed an art project, Olectronica Art Center, at a former nursery school in Arita Town. They will express themselves in places associated with daily life, such as in the community and on the streets.
